Santa Claus Academy

 The Brotherhood of the Direct Descendants of Santa  are proud to announce another Atlanta edition of The Santa Claus Academy to be held on Saturday, August 14th & Sunday August 15, 2010 at Hilton Gardens Inn in Duluth, Georgia. The Academy hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Registration will open at 8:00AM. This offering of The Santa Claus Academy will include specialized training for all levels of Santa Claus. We will also offer a special  workshop for Mrs. Claus and all of the invaluable women in Santa’s life. Lodging & WORKSHOP

The Mrs. Claus Workshop is designed to delight and inform Mrs. Claus and all of the significant women in Santa’s hectic and busy life. Here you will interact with other women who portray Mrs. Claus, Elves, or who work tirelessly behind the scenes as a supporting spouse to the Jolly Gent himself. You will share in a joyful experience as the ladies share their successes and the problems they have encountered along the way. The ladies love to tell their stories, their craft ideas, learn and sing Christmas songs and a whole host of other fun things that you can share with the children on Santa visits. The first half of the day, the ladies will be with their Santa in whichever course he is enrolled, the Mrs. Claus Workshop begins Saturday immediately after lunch, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Starting with stage makeup at the age of 12 and beginning character transformations by 14 Deborah Beeson started off on track to becoming a Master Cosmetologist.   Licensed for 20 years and currently working in the industry, Deborah is ready to share her expertise to help you make fantasies come to life!  Santa’s hygiene and grooming  , beard and mustache trimming , preparation and processes of hair whitening including proven products and beautiful curls are among the topics that will be covered.  In 2002 Deborah became a Santa hairdresser for her husband .  As both a hairdresser and a Mrs. Claus  she offers a unique perspective as a presenter.
